India Tobacco Control Leadership Programme

06 – 10 August 2018 – Goa: As part of the Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health convened the India Tobacco Control Leadership Program 2018 on 06 – 10 August 2018 at Alila Diwa, Goa, India.

 

Attended by over 75 participants from across different states of India and spearheaded by a faculty of national and international experts, the India Leadership Program comprised of interactive training sessions over a span of 5 days, emphasising on leadership principles in relation to a range of tobacco control related topics.

 

A major highlight of the event was the gala dinner organised for the delegates at the historic Indo-Portuguese mansion, “The Figueiredo Mansion” that pre-dates the Taj Mahal by decades. The evening witnessed live musical performances by band “Harmonique” which offered a wide range of musical treats of various genres.

 

UPSTAGE Execution

From shortlisting & booking the event venue to following up with delegates and faculty to confirm their participation in facilitating travel arrangements to sharing of information note with the delegates all logistics were handled by UPSTAGE.

The team also designed all event collaterals which included conference material and overall event brandings.

In addition, onsite support was provided which included registration of participants, distribution of per-diem and conference kits, provision of audio-visual facilities. Local transportation was arranged for the participants for conducting a survey as a part of their training curriculum.
