National Conference on Prevention & Control of Major Non-Communicable Diseases in India

22 June, 2016 — New Delhi: To accelerate the response to the growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in India through multi-sectoral actions, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) in collaboration with the WHO Country Office for India hosted a National Conference on Prevention and Control of Major Non-communicable Diseases in India. Experts came together to discuss prevention and control of NCDs in India.

The event saw the launch of a number of initiatives, including an elaborate e-launch of the Ministry’s mobile application, mDiabetes, an initiative for prevention and control of diabetes. Five other publications were released simultaneously by Mr J P Nadda, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare among other dignitaries from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, WHO, and representatives of key stakeholders.

The event was telecast live by the press media, and was streamed live on Twitter and Facebook. Our team carried out detailed conceptualisation and stage management for the launches, audio-visual support, fabrication at the venue, and onsite registration and logistic arrangements for 300+ participants.
